 Next Meeting
Topic: When DBA met Hekaton
Date: Tuesday Feb 4, 2014 at 16:30
Speaker: Heidi Wilson
Venue: Canberra Microsoft Offices
Registration: http://csqlsug2014feb.eventbrite.com.au

Microsoft Canberra have moved offices a few blocks away from where they previously were.

The Microsoft Canberra address is now;
Level 4, 6 National Circuit, Barton, ACT

Note that there is only lift access to the 4th floor, no stairs. The building lifts stop public access at 5pm so if you have not gotten on to the 4th floor by 5pm then you will not be able to get to the 4th floor. I do not have a lift pass so cannot come and get you.

Nearby parking, however, is much better than at the old venue.

Presentation Details

The In-Memory OLTP engine (codename Hekaton) in SQL Server 2014 provides new memory-optimized objects to deliver massive improvements in performance and processing time. This session will cover the changes in administrating memory-optimized objects from the DBA perspective, including schema changes, maintenance, point-in-time recovery and capacity planning.

Please register for this event to help us cater for pizza and drinks.

You MUST arrive for the meeting before 17:00 as the building lifts require pass access after that time. I do not have a lift pass so cannot come down to get you if you are late. (this is important so I've said it twice)
