THE MEETING VENUE HAS MOVED
Microsoft Canberra have moved offices a few blocks away from where they previously were.
The Microsoft Canberra address is now;
Level 4, 6 National Circuit, Barton, ACT
Note that there is only lift access to the 4th floor, no stairs. The building lifts stop public access at 5pm so if you have not gotten on to the 4th floor by 5pm then you will not be able to get to the 4th floor. I do not have a lift pass so cannot come and get you.
Nearby parking, however, is much better than at the old venue.
Creating your own metadata framework Presentation Details Bringing It Together in the Real World
Beyond Integration with BimlScript
Peter will introduce the various BimlScript directive and code nugget types. He will also discuss the high-level process by which BimlScript code is expanded to automatically create large quantities of Biml code. This will be a combination of PowerPoint slides and live demonstrations.
Peter will talk about a real-world solution that they have built for a customer, walking through a fully featured production framework and the code it generates. This will be a live coding session that will demonstrate creating and loading a staging environment from scratch.
Peter will explain what you require to build your own metadata framework and demonstrate a fully automated ETL development process.
Please register for this event to help us cater for pizza and drinks.
Also, in order to celebrate the recent release of SQL Server 2014, we will be holding a mini-launch event at 16:45 prior to Peters presentation. There will be some SQL related giveaways for those who can make it for this.
You MUST arrive for the meeting before 17:00 as the building lifts require pass access after that time. I do not have a lift pass so cannot come down to get you if you are late. (this is important so I've said it twice)
Peter Avenant is a business intelligence consultant, database developer and certified Biml developer.
